Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) is at the core of our work.
It goes a step further than the Heat Index — WBGT takes into account multiple variables: ambient temperature, humidity, wind speed and solar radiation.
The WBGT measured on a concrete or asphalt surface is often higher than the WBGT measured on a grassy surface. Equally, the WBGT measured in the sun with no wind is often higher than the WBGT measured in the shade with a 5 mph steady wind.
